Historical Monthly Unimpaired Runoff

Monthly total unimpaired runoff in thousands of acre-feet. The stations in the list below are grouped by their respective proximal impoundments or by hydrologic region. Tables are tab-delimited text files. There are two files generated: the first one has each months' unimpaired runoff for all years on record. Year shown is the water year (October through September), so for example, calendar year November, 1993 is listed on the row labeled 1994 (water year 1993-1994). Also shown is the water year total (sum of October through September) and the April-July sum.

The second table shows the runoff-to-date, which is the cumulative sum of the runoff from October through that month: October runoff, then the Oct-Nov sum, next the Oct-Dec sum, then the Oct-Jan sum, etc.

Below that are 50-year averages for each month. This is not the average of the cumulative sum. The period 1946-1995 is the current epoch we are using for this purpose. This will change in Water Year 2001 or 2002 to the 1951-2000 period.

Data is in text format so that it is easy to post-process. The data comes from a database query, the same database as CDEC, so updates there will be reflected here immediately. The program was written in C using INGRES Embedded SQL by D. McFadden in autumn, 1996.
